WWW(World Wide Web)
World Wide Web can be considered as the network of all interconnected computers that spreads all around the world. WWW uses protocols like FTP, HTTP, TCP/IP etc. For communication and data exchange between computers. It can also be considered as a collection of Web servers.

Email (Electronic Mail)
Messages, containing text, images or both sent from one person to another via computer. Email is now one of the most popular and fastest medium for transferring messages.


Firewall
Fire Wall is a security measure provided in Internet. It is a combination of hardware and software that separates a Network into two or more parts for security purposes. The significance of firewall has increased in the present years with the advancement of internet.


Search Engines
Search engines are special sites for searching the information available on the Web. Any information available on the internet can be searched based on a textual matter using search engines.


Virus
A chuck of computer programming code that makes copies of itself without any conscious human intervention. Most commonly virus programs are used for creating problems like damaging files, erasing files, making other programs to malfunction etc. Virus can be referred as " Very Important Resources Under Siege". They are generally memory resident.
